The staff at Whatcom Fellowship are dedicated to serving both our church and the greater Bellingham area. With strong ties to The Firs Retreat Center, we aim to uphold the long-standing history of God's faithfulness in this place. We are honored to be a part of the unique Geneva neighborhood community.
Tony Neal
Tony Neal grew up in Southern California, where he encountered the joy and love of Jesus Christ at the age of fifteen. Since then, his aim has been to live as a faithful disciple, seeking to work out his faith in a way that honors God. His deep love for the Lord, the church, worship, and the Scriptures continues to shape his heart and mind, and he counts it among the greatest privileges of his life to join in the work of Christ as He makes all things new. Revelation 21:5 Tony and Robin, his high school sweetheart, were married in 1990. After growing up in Southern California, they settled in Whatcom County in 2002. They are the grateful parents of three adult children—Danae, Asli, and Jace—and have been blessed with two sons-in-law, Sam and Tyler, and two grandchildren, Will and Emmie. Tony has served as a chaplain for the La Habra Police Department, worked in his family's manufacturing business, served in missions in more than eight countries, and pastored as a lead pastor for over twenty years. He currently serves at The Firs in Bellingham, Washington, as Director of Advancement and teaches in Radicle and Rooted, The Firs' discipleship program for 18-24-year-olds. In his downtime, Tony enjoys time with his family, bluefin tuna fishing, warm sandy beaches, watching Dodgers games, and munching on mint chip ice cream. Tony and Robin are especially grateful for the open door of ministry and the work the Lord is establishing through the new church plant at Whatcom Fellowship.
Ally was born on Whidbey Island, where she met her husband, Gabe. Together with their three children, they moved to Whatcom County in 2022. Ally has a passion for teaching and spends her days homeschooling her kids. Our hope and heart for children's ministry is to display God's goodness to the children. As Psalm 34:8 says, “Taste and see that the Lord is good.” When we give children a taste of God's goodness, they are drawn to pursue Him for the rest of their lives. Our desire is to see them grow into life-long disciples of Jesus. Each week, we intentionally sow the teachings and ways of Jesus into young hearts, trusting that they will grow and bear fruit throughout their lives

My name is David Enertson. I have been married to Treasa for 26 years. We have two adult boys. My hobbies include reading and working around the church property. A defining moment in my Christian faith was definitely when I became a Dad for the first time. My son's birth was a wake up call how important it is to rely on the Lord. My hope in the Elder role is to support our pastor in every way possible and to encourage our church to grow stronger in Christ.
